The Howa Type 89 (89 式 5.56mm 小 銃) is a Japanese assault rifle designed by Howa.

Nicknamed Buddy, it is derived from the Armalite AR-18 assault rifle.

He replaced the Howa Type 64 in the Japanese self-defense forces that adopted it in 1989, and is currently also used by the Japanese coastguard, as well as some special units of the country's police.

Tokyo Marui reproduces this fabulous model with gas propulsion.

This model is equipped with the "system Z 89 formula ver."
Similar system that is used on the MWS series.

Mechanism that advances bolt damping impact on bolt stop button to prevent wear and breakage of bolt stop button due to bolt opening ... It is "Z-system 89 formula ver."

By incorporating the Z - system into the bolt, the reproducibility of the internal shape is improved.
Normal disassembly (take down) :

When adjusting maintenance or variable hop-up system, ordinary disassembly so far is possible with a procedure close to genuine.
Moreover, we are pursuing reproducibility about the shape of internal mechanism such as take down part (recoil spring guide), bolt assembly (bolt carrier), gas cylinder etc, which is usually covered with exterior parts.
Burst Mechanism Installed :

In addition to semi / full auto launches, 3 bursts (3 restricted firing) are fully reproduced. When you pull the trigger with the selector set to "3", only three shots are fired consecutively.

Current type of engraved & left selector lever :

Reproduction of the current type engraved with "89R" engraved on the body. In addition, the left side selector lever which is used from dispatching Iraq / Samawah is standard equipment

Flash Hider :

The flash hider is a double nut system that tightens and fixes the barrel nut at the end. Since it is 14 mm reverse screw specification, it corresponds to various muzzle options of the same standard.
Front and rear sights

Front Sites & Rear Sites :

Adjust the vertical position of the front site, adjust the position of the rear left, right, up and down according to the same procedure as genuine. The rear site's memory contains white markings.

Bolt & dust cover :

When pulling the cocking handle, the structure of the dust cover that retreats with the bolt has also been reproduced.
During launch, the bolt moves back and forth, enabling you to enjoy a powerful recoil shock.

Pistol grip :

The lid at the bottom of the grip can be opened and closed, and small articles etc inside can be stored.

Bipod :

Bipod is included that can expand and collapse as well as genuine. Since it swings to the left and right during deployment, it can also be used on an inclined surface.

Magazine :

A magazine reproducing the number of bullets of 35 and the remaining bullet confirmation hole on the left side is attached. Optional "Spare magazine for M4A1 MWS" can also be used.
