The SA Navy Rail pistol is none other than the Sig Sauer P226.
For the small history of the weapon:
The Sig-Sauer P226 is a pistol designed in Switzerland by Sig and produced in Germany by Sauer.
Developed in response to the US Army's competition for the Colt M1911 replacement, it is a high-capacity version of the Sig-Sauer P220.
Presented in 1983, and chambered in 9 mm Parabellum, it lost by a short head to the Beretta 92.
Some special units from the United States and allied countries have nevertheless adopted it, such as the Navy SEALs and JTF 2 who use a version treated against corrosion and with a SureFire W114D lamp as their standard sidearm.
It has also had some success with various military and police organizations around the world, but its compact P228 version is more widely used.
In 1998 the SIG-Sauer P226 was chambered in .357 SIG and .40 S&W.
