The M1903 Springfield is officially known as the United States rifle, Caliber .30-06, model 1903.

It was officially adopted by the United States as a military bolt-action rifle on June 19, 1903, and served in the First World War.

It was officially replaced by the standard infantry rifle with a faster fire, the M1 garand, from 1937. However, the M1903 Springfield remained in service as a standard emission infantry rifle during the World War II, when the United States entered the war without a sufficient quantity of M1 to arm all the troops.

It was also redesigned in service as a sniper rifle during World War II, the Korean War, and even in the early stages of the Vietnam War.

It is the same model that we find in the film, Saving Private Ryan.

Regarding the G&G reply:

The replica of the M1903 A4 is entirely made of real wood and metal.
The mechanism is a bolt action on a 1/1 scale. It works with gas or CO2 (depending on the magazine used).

The A4 version is supplied with a typical scope mount for the 1903 and its scope
The replica being built with the materials: Aluminum 6061 / Steel / Zinc / plastic / nylon fiber / Wood.
The rear sight is adjustable.

The replica is here supplied with 2 Gas magazine.

Magnifique !!!

Une réplique de toute beauté, les bois sont beaux, pas de plastique. De bonnes performances en sortie de boîte. Seule bémol le hop n'est pas super et demande quelques modifications.
Mais vraiment c'est une réplique magnifique. Très bonne portée.
