The history of the P90:

The FN P90 (for “Fabrique Nationale Projet 90”) is a Belgian-designed submachine gun manufactured by the FN Herstal.

This weapon has innovative technical characteristics compared to other assault rifles, in particular its small size and very high rate of fire.

The P90 is used by the armies and police forces of over 40 countries, including Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Greece, India, Malaysia, Poland and the United States.

Although initially developed and sold as a Personal Defense Weapon (PDW), it can be viewed as a submachine gun or compact assault rifle.

The magazine of the P90 has an unusual capacity of 50 rounds, while the norm is rather 30.

Ammunition is stored in a particularly unusual translucent store.

Placed above the weapon, it contains 50 cartridges which are arranged perpendicular to the axis of the barrel.

This unusual design does not form any protuberances and favors the maneuverability of the weapon.

Its caliber is 5.7 × 28 mm.
