The Colt brand:

In the 1832s, when Samuel Colt was only 18, he began to design a revolutionary mechanism that would change the history of firearms.

He designed the revolver, the perfect synthesis between pepperboxes and flintlock pistols and shotguns with barrel, the only repeating weapons used until now.

Its weapon is more reliable and faster than any then in use, and eclipsed other handgun mechanics in a few decades.

In 1836, Samuel Colt therefore patented the Colt Paterson, the first in a long series of successful revolvers: the Colt Walker, the Colt Model 1848 “Dragoon”, the Colt Model 1851 “Navy”, the Colt Model 1860 “Army” , and especially the inevitable Colt Model 1873 Single Action Army, nicknamed the “Peacemaker”.

Even after the death of its founder in 1862, the Colt Firearms Company continued to innovate, still appealing to individuals as well as police and military forces around the world, with weapons as famous as the timeless Colt 1911, the Colt Python or the cult M16 assault rifle and its derivatives.
